Kanha National Park

  • Located in “Maikal” ranges of the Satpuras

  • Declared in 1935 as Sanctuary…upgraded as National Park in 1955

  • Included among first nine reserves in Project Tiger
    Altitude of the area varies from 450m to 950m above mean sea level

  • Tiger Reserve with an area of 1949 sq. km

  • Home for more than 125 tigers, only surviving population of Central

  • India Swamp deer & 300 identified bird species

  • Saving the highly endangered hard ground Barasingha & Tigers

           Kanha is divided in 3 tourist zones
